Based on the information presented in class and from the assigned text readings, do you believe that one theory provides a better explanation as to the origins of earth and the human species? Explain you answer. You may use evidence from the information presented in class, or you can provide your own personal interpretation as to how we evolved.

I believe that earth and everything in it was created by God. It just all makes more sense to me that way.

I believe that evolution provides a better explanation. Evolution has more evidence to prove that it is the better explanation than creationism.

I think that evolution provides more evidence as to how our world was created, because I believe in the scientific theories that are provided.

I believe that everything was created by God,some aspect of our evolution cant be explained by science.

I think and believe that life and everything around it was created from the big bang and evolution. It totally makes sense with all the evidence excavated from all over the world. I tend to watch to much Discovery Channel, so I see a lot of arguments like this. >.>

I believe in a mixture of evolution and God. I think that we evolved. How could we have not evolved, since every other animal has evolved? But I have been raised to go to church every Sunday of my life and I do believe in God. I'm in the middle ground, I guess... :)

i think that based on everything we know so far, that there could be many theories in the world of how we came to be here. Could've been God, could have been big bang theory or it could be the theory of us being apes then turned in to humans. Because science can keep trying but no ones going to actually know how we got here because none of us were the first people here,so it's hard to say what brought us here because it's going to take a long time for scientists to figure it out.

Being raised going to Church on sunday I believe that God created all things but some aspects of evolution are true because everything has to evolved and grow, etc. I dont think we came from apes because of the fact that they are still around cause if they evolved into humans why are there still apes? When it comes to the Big Bang theory, science proves it wrong because nothing cant just exploded and produce a world as complected as earth. That just doesnt make sense for me. :)

Yes, based on information provided it would be illogical to conclude that creationism's claims are factual. Modern evolutionary theory isn't dependent on any factors outside of a closed system, allowing it to be explained without leaving any uncertainty. The only reasons for rejection of evolutionary theory are either a lack of comprehension towards the subject or the social and psychological implications of admitting you are wrong.

Evolution has a much more clear explanation about how the earth and the species that reside in it come to be as they are and how they and the earth has changed over time. The Darwinian theory of evolution does not only provide its own factual points for evolution but it also points out major problems with creationism because it shows that evolution has been happening since the earth has come into existence and this makes a supernatural entity creating us seem less plausible.

Let's face it, world...not everything can be explained by science. Being born into a Christian home, it has been a challenge accepting the theory of evolution. Scientists will do anything they can to “prove” EVERYTHING. It’s what they’re paid to do. Of course they’re going to find an explanation for how humans came from monkeys. If they had to, they could probably conjure up a theory that humans evolved from guinea pigs. It’s possible that in creationism, humans were created, but in primitive form. Over time, they evolved...but they did start from the very beginning as humans, not as apes.

I thoroughly believe in Evolution and the reasoning to how the origins of earth and human species erupted. Personally, I do not believe that God created everything that we have on earth today.

I've always thought that evolution best explains everything. Creationism has always been just a story. Although I have nothing against creationism and those who believe it, I feel that evolution is the only scientific explanation. How else could it have happened. Scientists have gathered enough evidence to produce this theory and I think it works!

I'm on the fence with this one. I guess you could consider me Agnostic, but I'm more of a Spiritual person. I believe more in the power of the Universe and some other kind of Higher Power but whether or not there is just one God and "He who is The Creator" is not really something I've ever put much thought into. I could go on a tangent about my thoughts on religion, but when it comes to evolution I find myself highly fascinated. It's interesting to me and I like hearing about every kind of theory and story there is to tell. But because nobody has ever known and nobody will ever know how it really happened, I don't think one has any more evidence than the other. I think that if you are happy believing in your faith or being true to your science, then everything else shouldn't matter. We are all just here existing, and everything else is just an idea.

I believe in evolution basically because it more realistic and there is scientific evidence of it having happened but saying that I find creationism fascinating,I find the Greek version of how everything came to be believable because it has some points that sound the same of are the same as evolution what with how it all began.

I am also an Agnostic person, there is just no forsure answer on how humans or anything has been put on this earth. Nobody knows forsure. It is the pinnacle of hubris for a scientist or a person of any particular religion to say they have all the answers, to say my way is the only way. There is certainly a probability of some truth within either theory. But no one theory holds all the truth. I really do find it interesting though to hear evolutionism and creation stories. This topic definitly gives a lot to think about.

I wholeheartedly believe in evolution 100%. I feel that there is indisputable evidence that it is the way humans came to be. although i put my faith strictly on science i don`t just dismiss creationism and religion as hogwash. I think that religion has many things to offer, But defiantly not the answer to life.

Evolution, basically because it is more realistic and more believable. Creationism is just a story made up to be believable, scientist have enough evidence to explain there theory.

I believe in evolution because their is evidence to back it up. I Can't believe in the fact that we were all created by a God. It seems more realistic for me to believe in evolution.
